General Data Protection Regulation

1. GDPR Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), residents of the European Economic Area (EEA) and individuals whose Personal Information is processed by an entity established in the EEA (“Covered Individuals”) have specific rights regarding their Personal Information:

  • Access and Information: You have the right to obtain information about the processing of your personal information and to access the personal information we hold about you. Please note that there are circumstances where we may refuse your request for access, particularly where it involves information subject to legal professional privilege.
  • Correction: You have the right to request correction of your personal information if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure: You have the right to request erasure of your personal information in certain circumstances. However, there may be legal obligations or other reasons why we need to retain your data despite your request for erasure.
  • Objection and Restriction: You have the right to object to, or request restriction of, our processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. Again, there may be situations where we can legally refuse your request.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: If we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

2. Data Protection Officer (DPO)

We have appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) to oversee our data protection practices. If you wish to exercise any of your rights under GDPR, please contact our DPO at ir@2btrust.com. We may request proof of identity to ensure the security of your personal information and to prevent unauthorized disclosures.

3. Administrative Fee

We reserve the right to charge a reasonable administrative fee for any manifestly unfounded or excessive requests concerning your data access or for additional copies of your Personal Information.

4. Response and Complaints

We take all requests and complaints seriously. We will respond to your requests promptly and provide information on how to escalate complaints to the relevant privacy regulator if you are not satisfied with our response.

5. Updates to Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 01 June 2024. We reserve the right to update and amend this Policy periodically to reflect changes in how we process Personal Information or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on our website, and they will take effect immediately upon posting.

6. Retention of Personal Information

We retain Personal Information in accordance with our internal policies, which set out general standards and procedures for the retention, handling, and disposal of Personal Information. Personal Information is kept as long as necessary to meet legal, regulatory, and business requirements. Retention periods may be extended due to litigation, investigations, or other legal proceedings.
